Johnny Crawford Nude and Orgy Scenes

This is the famous nude picture of Johnny Crawford from The Naked Ape  (1973).  It's famous because male nudity in film was rare at the time, and because Johnny Crawford was a former teen idol, best known as the innocent young son of Lucas McCain on The Rifleman (1958-1963).

Who knew that he had such a muscular physique?  And a penis?















Johnny also has a nude rear shot in in the sex-caper comedy, The Great Texas Dynamite Chase (1976).  Plus a memorable scene where he and his two girlfriends invite the busboy at their hotel (the very attractive Eric Boles) to join them in an orgy.

The Nude Photos of Martin and Lewis: A Gay Tease or a Gay Getaway in 1952

 

Nude photos of 1950s-60s comedy duo Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis have recently appeared on ebay, "from the Frank Branda collection."  This one sold for $4,494.99"  Wow, why spend that much when you can see it online for free?

Frank Branda was Jerry Lewis's personal assistant, driver, and close friend; he also appeared in three of Jerry's movies..  The photos were originally sold at Sotheby's shortly after Lewis's death in 2017.

Here Dean seems to be cold or pretending to be embarrassed, while Jerry is pretending to masturbate.

Same shower, but Jerry's hair is dry, so taken earlier?  Obviously staged. Dean and Jerry face each other.  Dean grabs Jerry's wrist to move him, and pretends to be soaping his back.  I can't read their expressions.

The candids seem to depict ordinary bathhouse activities: sauna, gym, flirting.  The captions say that they were taken in 1952, about five years into their comedy partnership, at the El Mirador Hotel in Palm Springs.

The Spanish Colonial style El Mirador, which opened in 1927,  was converted to an army hospital during World War II, and re-opened in  November 1952.  During the next 20 years, it was a "must see" landmark for tourists and a resort for the rich and famous, including U.S. Presidents.  

Are Dean and Jerry romantic partners, or are they fooling around, playing with the perception that they were gay?  At this time you could "hide in plain sight," as long as you were seen on the arms of women on occasion.  In November 1952, the 35-year old Dean was married to his second wife, Jeanne Biegger, and had five children (he would later have two more, and marry a third time).  The 24-year old Jerry was married to Patti Palmer, and had a son (he would marry a second time, and have a total of six children).  Both had numerous extramarital affairs.

Playing with the perception that they are a romantic couple, or actually a couple, having a gay weekend while their wives and kids wait at home?   Here they hang out in the sauna with  his driver/"close friend" Frank Branda and  Dean's assistant Mack Gray.  Notice that Jerry is keeping a chaste distance from Dean and crossing his legs in "don't touch me!" body language, while the other two guys are pressing their thighs together and letting their dongs hang out.

They were aware that Mack Gray was in a relationship with George Raft (1895-1980), who often played gangsters and heavies in movies.  They even attended parties at Raft's house as a couple, leaving the wives at home.

Here Jerry kisses Mack while Dean and an unidentified boyfriend wait.  One gets the impression that Jerry is comfortable in the gay world, while Dean is a bit standoffish.

Romantic partners, or gay teases?  Nearly 70 years later, there's no way to know for sure, but either challenges our perception of the 1950s as a dark era when gay people were closeted and lived in constant fear.

Nude Photos of Robby Benson

I have always hated movies full of angst, gravitas, and people dying.  But in the early 1980s, when I was in college, I watched them: The End (1978), Ice Castles (1978), Die Laughing (1980), The Chosen (1981), Running Brave (1983), Harry and Son (1984) -- just for a glimpse of Robby Benson.

There was never a more beautiful teen idol.  Never.  A face that would make you melt.  If you ever managed to look away from that face, there was a warm chest, six-pack abs.

Robby was trying to be a serious actor, but he faced a major hurdle: audiences never paid attention to the plot, characters, or dialogue of his angst-ridden movies.  They were too busy waiting for him to take his shirt off.



This was before actors would strut across the stage nude regularly, so we get only three glimpses of Robby naked.

1. The underwear scene in Ice Castles shows a very clear penis outline.

2. Running Brave has a scene with Robby walking through the locker room to the showers.  Butt shot.















3. This is apparently an outtake -- it doesn't appear in the film.  But Robby's pubic hair, penis shaft, and head are in full view.

It's not much, but really, with a face like that, the penis seems irrelevant. I'm busy writing "Robby + Boomer"  in purple ink in the margin of my chemistry notebook.

Bobby Darin Taking a Shower

This is the uncensored version of the photo of teen idol and 1960s singer Bobby Darin, perhaps an illustration from his "Splish, Splash (I Was Taking a Bath)" (1958).

It looks legitimate, like the real photo taken before censoring.

But when modern singers cover the song, they're usually shown in the bathtub, not in the shower, as in this rendition from a "Blast from the Past" performance at an Alabama high school.

The effect is the same.

23-year old Dylan Sprouse was formerly a Disney Channel Golden Boy, costar of the gay-subtext sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, along with his brother Cole. Now he's  got a very nice physique, which he is eager to display to his male and female fans.

Including this selfie of his very substantial beneath-the-belt gifts.

Hank Williams Nude

This is reputedly Hank Williams, the country-western star, who I covered in the post "Hank Williams: Dynasty of Homophobia," on Boomer Beefcake and Bonding.

The right time period, but I'm not sure I believe it.  Would the conservative Republican really allow himself to be photographed like that in the 1940s?

Besides, Hank Williams had a hairy chest, and died at the age of 29.  This guy is smooth, and looks way older than that.
